I try to speak my words to another
talking the truth
like the blue sky finding her voice
yet her words feel invisible
ignored dismissed
telling the truth of her feelings
being an honest truthful blue sky
even crying tears
they can see the blue sky speaking her voice
yet they stay on the same thoughts
telling you this is how things are
speaking their opinion
what they wish for is the way
in their own mind they have their opinion
but the blue sky doesn’t agree
speaks their voice
yet feels like her words are living underwater
they have tried to be seen heard and understood
yet feels like I’m talking to a brick wall
with the same response
despite my feelings and thoughts
feels like their being pushed away , under water
I try to be the blue sky
speak my honest voice even with tears
yet the point is ?
if I feel like I’m not heard listened to and understood
my voice matters just as much as the colours of the blue sky
and if I’m not happy then I may speak
only for my words to sometimes feel
pushed underwater
I wish them to stay on the surface
be seen understood
because my voice matters

- Comment from author about the poem: It’s very difficult when you try and express your feelings and upset about a situation and you are made to feel like your feelings don’t matter enough . They think their opinion is the right one that their right , even tho yoir trying to explain why your upset . It is very difficult and painful , frustrating and not nice to feel like your feelings are not important enough . Been very upset with thjngs recently ..

A rigid mind is a very small, sad one, that is unable to bend to any other point of view. More's the pity for them, for they they lack the flexibility to adapt to the trials of life which may ultimately break them. A very thoughtfully written piece dear friend, your blue sky encompases everyone, as it should all opinions.

This makes me think of the Nikita Gill quote "Remember what you must do when they undervalue you, when they think your softness is your weakness, when they treat your kindness like it is their advantage. You awaken every dragon, every wolf, every monster that sleeps inside of you and you remind them what hell looks like when it wears the skin of a gentle human."
Very frustrating!! Personally I write it all down....helps sometimes. So, I'm hoping you letting these emotions out HERE, is giving you at least some relief!! Sending you a big hug!!!!💛💛💛💛💛
