Path to Better

I have not always been the best
My actions and words have not been wise
I’ve made mistakes and been a pest
But I am determined to prove I’ve changed

I am different, a better version of me
This is my promise, I’m sure you can see
I am trying to prove that I have grown
And asking you to please forgive me

I am not the same person I was before
I’ve learned from my mistakes and I’ve grown
I understand what I’ve done wrong
And hope that I can be forgiven and move on

I will never make the same mistakes again
I’m determined to prove I’m better than I was
I will strive to be the best I can be
And hope for your forgiveness and acceptance of me.
