SOS

Introverted Sage

Saving our Souls
Shouldn't that be the goal?
yet we're marching little soldiers
doing what we're told.

Meant to be free.
Not ignoring poverty.
But it's easy to be sheep.
Closed mouthed and meek.

Jumping through the hoops.
Quick to join new groups.
Follow right along
No matter how low it stoops.

    So true, dear Poet
and from the wise words of Meditations:
    “Everything we hear
is an opinion, not a fact.
    Everything we see
is a perspective, not the truth.”

    “Waste no more time arguing
    about what a good person
    should be.
    Be one.”
