Tune: Woodlands
('Tell out my soul')
Psalm 116 v.1-8
*********
I love the Lord for He has my voice heard
My prayers, He attended unto each word
Because He has to me His ear inclined
I call continual on Him in one mind
The sorrows of death they did me surround
Pains of hell and distress with me were found
Troubles and sorrows, these were what I knew
I called on the Lord and said, Save me, do
Save my soul, and me from my troubles free
He be righteous, and did work graciously
he merciful, preserves humble, lowly
To my poor state the Lord came and helped me
Return unto your rest, O my soul, see
Teh Lord has dealt with you bountifully
Has dried my tears, kept my feet my falling
Saved my soul from death, praises I Him bring
