Moon

Miss_Dreamer

I am like the moon

I move the tides in darkness

Alone in a sky full of constellations

Always having to wane once I start shining too bright

Visible only when everyone else is asleep.

And sometimes I wonder

What it would be like to be adored like the sun

To be unapologetically loud and present

And for people to love you for it

Instead of always being told to be less.

My comments on the poem "Moon” by Dreamer
You point out that the moon moves the tides in darkness. Although the moon is much smaller than the sun, it is the moon that moves the tide. So, in a sense the moon achieves that which the sun does not. Whereas the sun can create beautiful scenes at sunrise and sunset, the moon is more romantic. While sunrise and sunset last for a short time, the moon lasts longer. Even the different phases of the moon have each their own appeal and have been sung in poetry.
We have been able to walk on the moon. As for walking on the sun..... Even by getting close to the sun we will be fried. As for the waning of the moon, the sun, too, disappears at sunset. So, don’t worry : as the moon, you do have value. Soman Ragavan. 6 October, 2023. //

To address the subject, the moon offers as much visual beauty and importance as the sun,. The write remains a beautiful reflection and allows the reader to interpret the imntent clearly. I enjoyed this read.

I'm my mind the moon is a more peaceful feel and the sun give me warmth and light, yes, but it is also a raging inferno that burns up everything that comes close to it,
Personally, I would rather relate to the moon!!

And the sun always gets the credit, the moon doing whatever it can but still not valued enough, lovely analogy!
