Dance in the Moonlight

GeekSusie

In the heart of hearts, a truth doth lie,

Cloaked in shadows, beneath the azure sky.

I am a girl of but sixteen,

Embracing love that remains unseen.

A torrent of emotion, a hidden brook,

In the refuge of my heart, a secret took.

An enchanting dance with a maiden fair,

Our love, a hymn whispering in the air.

A world within mirrors, glistening bright,

Reflections dance in the pale moonlight.

Her laughter, her smile, her tender grace,

A solace I find in her sweet embrace.

Her touch a spark, her words a song,

In her arms, I fearlessly belong.

A clandestine ballad, a melody composed,

A testament to the love I chose.

Fear masks our truth in shadows vast,

In the grand theater, we're miscast.

To the world, our love remains unseen,

An unwritten sonnet of what could've been.

A longing silent, a truth unsaid,

Yet, our love is no less widespread.

A love that's true, a love that's free,

A love that merely wishes to be.

The dawn will come, the truth will rise,

In its splendid hues, love never lies.

Till then, in verses, our story unfurls,

A dance of secret love between two girls.
