I’m getting to know you Moon

Mariya Munro

I’m getting to know you

and what you mean to me

and what you mean to my daughter.

We stand barefoot in the garden

in the middle of the night

with Luna

our faces smiling in your twilight.

Eyes closed our hands outstretched,

holding gems and making wishes.

You are so beautiful and full tonight,

not hidden behind clouds tonight.

What’s your name moon?

Harvest, Hunter, Super Blue.

You have linked us to each other

as we stand under your magic.

Mother and Daughter.

We are getting to know you, Moon
