When winter is over
And springtime begins
Will you still need me
Or will it all end
Will the wintertime stars
That had faded away
Reside in dark permanence
Ne’er again to display
The times that we shared
Those moments of joy
The love of two beings
Is one, now devoid
As summer takes over
New warmth in the sun
There’s no use for two
Just enough for the one
But I’ll often think of
Those cold winter times
That brought us together
To heat those cold nights
The times that we shared
Those moments of joy
The love of two beings
Is one, now devoid

Sadness at loss, but treasured memories. Beautifully penned dear friend. Winter has such a special feel, and you have used it perfectly.
