Why does misery always cloud my dreams.
I guess true balance — is harder than it seems.
Trying to find a way — within my means.
A light to guide my dark is what I need.
The rope — it holds much better when it’s taut.
The lessons I have learned cannot be bought.
It is the deepest levels of wisdom I have sought.
Balancing my mind controlling my thoughts.
It’s time to get my back up off this wall.
Taking the first step after I’ve crawled.
Please let this be the last time that I fall.
This has been the worst one of them all.

'The rope — it holds much better when it’s taut.
The lessons I have learned cannot be bought.
It is the deepest levels of wisdom I have sought.'
lived through wisdom, distilled and versed
indeed, those taught strings of fate
do so like to keep us on edge
from crawling triumphs to our
sprinting's buckles..
feels like a new scar
is just a twilight away..
and life's healing balm
awaiting, at that next twilight
of merciful grace...!
we've just got to find a way
to take that next crawl of a step
keep believing in that promised
better, we all deserve to aspire
towards...
(this one hit home for me, wise Poet)
thank you!
On edge indeed!
.. and the mind can be one's own worst critic.
That balance.. is key.. or is a key. Perhaps both..
'believing in that promised
better' is the only way.. Faith and grace. Faith and grace.
Thank you!
"The lessons I have learned cannot be bought"--I belive I've mentioned this before....but that darkness, that fall....really does teach us. IF we allow it. IF we're able to grasp the lesson, THEN, we can get up and use it to ignite our dreams/desires. Very nice!!!
Yes, it does and yes we can! "IF we are able.." .."IF"
So, let's dream big!
Thank you!!
Balancing my mind controlling my thoughts. The power behind these words; a beautiful well needed message
