Floating Our Failures Away

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

We must remind ourselves that we are human
This melding of mind, body and soul is not like automaton
Sometimes it's best to let our failures go floating away
Don't let them explode like a scene from Michael Bay
What do you class as a real travesty?
Losing money or a member of the family?
Prayers do work and they don't perplex me
My head is in the right place
Not zoning out into space
But still love the gaming arcades
Spirituality grabs certain people like Autumn leaves in a rake
Don't preach to nobody and your choice to think if it's all fake
But I know God literally grabbed my body and gave it a shake

    speak your truth, cherished Poet
no Bay 'ass-shots' or special affect
    overdoses, in this tempered write
    just an honest ink, revealing
a poet's current flow of mood

I like what you have done here. Hold on loosely. Great job.
