The Wall of My Heart

Tanisha Aggarwal

We will move on

But if you remember,

I showed you the wall that protects my heart.

Where we once planted roses to symbolize eternity and depth of our love,

And you only conspired to stain it with the venom of your monsters

Believing people bring storms but they also bring hope, I bared it all.

The truths, the darkness these walls behold.

Goodbye my love for all that you showed,

I stay protected by the doors that are knocked to care for my sane soul. Those are my lovers, we share love in different forms.

With you I had fallen into a different zone, that you and I know.

It will never be the same, these walls will only grow further. You saw me, but I can see through people.

You brought a storm, you were the darkness. But I wish you sunshine my love.

They say time heals all wounds, I say I want to swim in this hurt. To see, to feel, to care for whats meant to be preserved.

We must move on.

We will move on.
