As I watch the sun set over the horizon,
It makes the scenery appear like an illusion

 

Time usually travels thick and fast,

The pleasant moments seldom last

 

A draft of cold air gushes into my balcony,
It seems to break the day's monotony

 

The days are usually warm, the nights a bit chilly,
Life seems to pass quite tranquilly

 

The pandemic changed our lives forever,
A far cry from what used to be a canter

 

It made us pause and introspect,
Reminding us why before the almighty, we must genuflect

 

It's never too late to start from scratch,
Life's after all just a game, akin to a cricket match
