Judging

2781

Wouldn't it be great, if the law judged the heart?

How many innocent could find a new start.

Instead, the law judges our actions,

Which often at times, are emotional reactions.

To hate the evil, and love the good,

If only we could.

If only we could.. Some can see hearts - that has to count for something somewhere
    Self control is self mastery
    Good one!

    'innocent till proven guilty'
    even that old book mentioned
    something about a stone
    being thrown only by those
    who know, NO wrong..
    'judgement'
    even after the fact
is hard enough to get right
    .. but the heart ..
    that's a complex space
    to try and judge
and where do you stop, if
you're going to look that deep?
at the cause of this heart's ill intent
    or
the genesis causality that birthed it
    .. literally ..!
    (forgive me, dear poet
    I meant no disrespect
    I'm just an overopinionated fool
    what do i know)
    lol

Not at all! It true, who can judge the heart? Certainly not me, or you.

As I've told my kids, better to act than to react. It's those reactions that can be oh so bad and done without clear thought. To hate the evil, wise advice!

I can't lay claim to it.
