Ground is her

Dooli S

Ground is strong
Earth knows that
But fear's running
Deep inside her

Ground gets matured
With bricks & pebbles
Earth calls her "beauty"
Blushing off her cheeks

Different places in the  earth
Same ground in different guises
Trying to make people smile
Letting them walk on it.

Everyone has a time
To release their pain
Ground too has it
It's the time of rain.

Adorable drops of water
Running towards ground
Hug the ground softly
Seeing ground getting wet.

  • Comment from author about the poem: You may feel like this poem is talking about a ground. But that\'s not what I wanted to show from this poem. It's all about women. Yeah, women are strong just like the ground and society knows it really well. Even though women are strong there\'s still a little fear that's running deep inside them. Before becoming a woman this woman was a little girl. Later, she attains puberty. In my opinion, attaining puberty is one of the best moments that a girl can have. Because after puberty, she becomes spectacular. Then society calls her \"beauty\" blushing off her cheeks. How is this related to the ground? Just imagine a ground with just soil and a ground with bricks and pebbles on it. The one with bricks and pebbles looks more beautiful than the ground with soil right? So isn't it similar to the moment a girl attains her puberty? There are different places on the earth and in all these places ground is not the same. The ground is there with different guises. In one place the ground might be with rocks in another one pebbles then in another one bricks and so on. But it's still the same ground, right? Women are also like that. At home, she is a mother but in society, she can be a teacher, an engineer and so on. Whatever the type of guises she is in with she still tries to make people smile. Hence, women are similar to the ground. Whatever the guise ground has it still does its job. It lets \'s people walk on it with no hesitations despite the fact how painful it\'s. Just like women. The woman is also a human. Just like others, she also has time to release all her pain. And that\'s the time of rain. When small water droplets from the sky reach the ground, the ground gets socked. For me, it feels like the ground is crying at that time. Perhaps, releasing its pain. That's why I made it similar to when a woman releases her pain. For her, these adorable drops of water can be her adorable children, pets, and students. When she goes home or to school, how her adorable children, students or pets run towards her makes her heart soften, forcing her to release her pain.
