Significant, We

L. B. Mek

Notice of absence from L. B. Mek
'fare ye well' kind friends

Crimson skies when I cry

Thunderstorms, all night

When my insomnia

Keeps me waging wars

With a moonless fate

Typhoons

In my trails of hurt

And pain

So, those who curate

my

Nightmares in life

too soon, realise

What devastation awaits

Their pathetic

Scheming ways

Let all universe be foretold

I am no mere mortal

Spec

A dust

To build sand castles with

After my journey is spent

Oh no no no, my dear friends

I

Am

Significant!

My story

Adding, to our collective legacy

Like

All of us, who ever drew breath

Once, then

Chocked, screeched and wailed

Injustice

indeed, We All

Significant

In our on diverse ways

As our cacophonous

Memories, testify

Piquantly sublime…

What an incredibly powerful poem. We should all be free to live safe and as we choose and how. I really feel this stanza

    Crimson skies when I cry

    Thunderstorms, all night

    When my insomnia

    Keeps me waging wars

    With a moonless fate

I'd like to believe London is still so versatile that nobody would suffer for being different at anytime and I do realize that at this moment it is a very worrying time. I would encourage everyone just to be kind. Try to keep your poets heart quiet and tranquil my dear Mek even when we are all facing such turbulent times. ❤️

London's folly will always be London's glory
Each rounded corner delivering you to a new
Culture and part of the world
While outside no10, they scream and shout
about injustice and lack of freedom..
While inside no10 they count pennies and plot
      their next lump-sum cheques
from those 'temporary' VAT & NI taxes...
      lol
all good and fun my treasured Poetess
we're all just turning chapters in a life
      some we flick through hurriedly
others we take our time on and try to
      treasure every last drop of..

Powerful!! Through every storm, hurt and pain. Even after all the struggles and heartache….the universe knows…."I am no mere mortal" "Oh no no no, my dear friends I Am Significant!" Hell Yeah!! Bring it on baby!!!! The power of self-expression! 💫💫💫💫 Our individualism adds to our collective heritage. Accepting our deepest aspirations and personal journey. Being free to be ourselves. Because the reality is…we can belong anywhere we choose. True fulfillment is within, and by discovering ourselves, we can find comfort anywhere we choose to go. Able to….be… ….in our own different way simply adds to the colors of life! I SEE you! "Know thyself" 😉

And of course, this melody goes perfectly with your message!
Your mind is a treasure! Thankful for you! My wise poet!! 😌

            "Crimson skies when I cry"
            A wonderful line.
            "As our cacophonous
            Memories, testify
            Piquantly sublime…"
The truth rings poetic in these last lines.
I think the verse that hit hardest and will remain with me is:
            "indeed, We All
            Significant
            In our on diverse ways"
Such a great message my friend.

                thank you my kind friend
                'truth rings poetic'
I like that, it's an affirmation
                of brilliance in our unknown
                and uncertain, a reassuring
                perspective..
                a poetic truth, indeed

              • Lorenz

                significant we ..
The paths of everything end up intertwining ...

                • L. B. Mek

                  it's all written
we're just acting out our parts
or so it seems, at times..
still, we get to play the leading role
in our life, we get that spotlight
all to ourselves, for a blessed while
                  thank you, kind Poet

                  • Lorenz

Beautiful lines that I would like to add to a future text !

We all have significance, have value. Your piece truly sums it neatly with a story surrounding it. Perfect!

                    • L. B. Mek

                      thank you kind poet
                      so glad you could relate
                      with my humble scribble

                    • 2781

I've pondered this recently and realised we all die, and when dead nothing more is said.
Make the most of it while we can.

                      • L. B. Mek

indeed, death is our only guarantee
it's taken care of for us
It's LIFE, we have to invest ourselves
                        in-to, wholeheartedly!
                        thank you! kind Poet

                      • John Lee

Proclamation that ‘we all are’ significant even if mortal after we come together, like temporary but magnificent ‘sand castles’

                          • L. B. Mek

                            More than mere 'sand castles'
We build our empire of love in each other's hearts
                            A timeless legacy, surpassing
                            Limitations in breath,
Which dying star can claim such a monumental
                            eternity?!...
                            We Are All Significant!
My wise sister and cherished Poet

yes it can truly be, a hell
                                mainly because it's caused
                                by entrenched traumas
                                we're still struggling with..

Reading You .. reading this, your words here made me very happy .. Not just because somehow I found my way here, but because you managed to say in my recent protracted enforced absence what I would have liked to say, but you got in first and said it better ..

                                      Much respect brother M
