False Truth

The Dreamer

Lies unable to meet the eyes
Fabricated reality, unmatched truth
Maleficent mind, contaminated yet chimed
Pit of darkness, once fallen never returns
Evading the obvious, worldly obsessions
Pigments created, fooling expressions
For first timers, considered a deadly sin
While veterans, even manage to grin
Sweat trickling down, throat a dessert
Lips albeit quivering, tries to assert
Within moments becomes second nature
Eruption of darkness, hidden within...
Delusional genius, who always succeeds
With time, drops of guilt, fills the lake
Thinks of stopping, but fails the brake
Unable to accept, increases facades
For lies exist, to serve their phrase
Evil or not, they delude their days...

  • Comment from author about the poem: Hey there! Hope you all are doing great. About this poem, personally i feel it is incomplete, so I might make a second part of it. I had been going through some decent pressure and was unable to post from quite a while (more than a freaking month 😱). Anyways, I hope u like this piece 😄.
