Take a walk with me, sweet?

Maevezz

“Take a walk with me, sweet?

Spring blooms, autumn falls.

Can I get a kiss, at least?

Rainy rains, winter freezes.

They wouldn’t call us a cheat,—would they?

Like, the summer; the heat rises.

No,—care I not,— only for your touch.

Desires meet! Desires meet!

Before you go back, and be his again—

Let me entertain, my sweet marguerite.”

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem highlights the intensity of human passion and the difficulty of choosing. It explores the themes of forbidden love and the pursuit of desire despite potential consequences. It also speaks to the complexity of relationships and the conflict between the self and society. It reminds us that we can not control our feelings, and that love can be both a blessing and a burden. Most importantly, my poem reminds that it is important to follow our heart and pursue what makes us happy, even if it goes against the norms and expectations of society. I’m a very beginner. I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing, but if you like my poem.. let me know!! x

Your poem is charming but it's mercurial connotation full of lightness does not really reflect the passions that tear the human soul.
