Tune: St James' Air
('How lovely is thy dwelling place')
Proverbs 14 v.23-27
**********
In all labour there is profit
It is suitable, fit
To do, but idle chatter, see
Tends unto poverty
Crown of the wise is their riches
Their prosperity this
But the foolishness of fools be
Unwise, path of folly
A true witness does save souls sure
But deceit turns, allures
People away from truth, they lie
They not God's words apply
In the fear of the Lord is strong
Confidence, lasts life long
And His children shall a place
Of refuge, safety, grace
Fear of the Lord is a fountain
Of life unto all men* (*mankind)
To turn away from snares of death
Impart life-giving breath

- Comment from author about the poem: Some more wisdom in an 8.6.8.6. hymn-poem. Sometimes the Proverbs are not always the easiest to set to rhyme.

Turn the fountain full blast please!
Thanks CB. You any wiser now?! lol.
LOL, yeah.. only when I look to the Fount of Wisdom... ask and receive... nothing self-made...
So you look to Fido then, and say 'O fount of all wisdom, give me more......?!' heehee.
Oh, that's where I met Fido last!
I try to explain to my wife, but she prefers tangible results.
I tell her we aim to low.
Keep up the good work, it's profitable!
Thanks 2781.
Beautiful my friend!
Thanks Gen.
