Too Long Gone

aDarkerMind

too long gone

silhouette and the bribe of pedestal

hanging free of purpose

from a time discreet

seclusion second guessing second chance;

a souvenir from the blind uncivilised

black viola, lazy as a crab

sleeping in the armpit of a song

with daisy-chains eclectic in a mood

of colours mixed with green and lemon tea;

ten paces turned

burned and tortured

violence in the hidden touch of silk

milking manhood's Monday afternoon

king of guillotine . queen of thunder;

a still-born stare

cold-vein blue

a headless chomp on a sweet potato chip;

fried and flustered

harpsichord and shit!

sentiment with an echo from a coin

speed of life

premature

loin and linen

consulate unclean;

a vulture in a bra

prehistoric man

with panoramic views

and oh my dear!

look what they've done with the blues;

    Brilliant. I like the way you use abstract images to form concrete themes.

    Superb and your last stanza is probably one of your most powerful that I've ever read, and you know me I also had a chuckle at your imagery lol fabuuuulous ❤️
