To Be or Not To Be
Sitting on your couch and staring at the two pills,
You wonder why you are attracted to swallow the black
When all have told white is your way up the hill.
Your mind plays what your heart aches to forget,
How trapped in others’ prejudice and perspectives
Your soul was offset.
You yearned for blue, admired red, romanticized pink and cherished yellow.
Yet you settled for white as it was pure and preferred, and
You feared rejecting it would make you hollow.
Oh, dear! But you were always meant to embrace
The chaos, the enigma and the fearlessness.
Don’t you worry, if it is right to be or not to be,
Rather I wish you chase
Your every dream and desire
As black is the only fit
To your every bit.
