Raw and Real: My Journey into Freedom

GeekSusie

In my reflection, my truth, my verity, I see,

The bare essence, the naked spirit of me.

Through the glass of raw sincerity,

I view the universe that is uniquely me.

Skin to the sun, moon and stars, laid bare,

Feeling their whispers through strands of hair.

The sun - a gentle lover, in daylight's guise,

Kisses my skin, where my truth lies.

The wind, a waltzing partner, dances near,

Singing ballads only bare skin can hear.

Goosebumps of joy from the wind's sweet sigh,

Under the watchful, moonlit sky.

The rain's soft patter, on shoulders, on chest,

Cleanses the soul, puts the heart to rest.

Under the sky's teardrops, emotions unfurl,

Sweeping over the contours of this girl.

Within the quietude of my room, I find,

A nude form, a liberated mind.

Not for another's gaze or pleasure, but mine,

In the mirror of truth, nakedly divine.
