It was a magical phase of my life
an illusion so mesmerizing
a deceit full of charm
a lie sugar coated
a dream full of joy
a deception so real
a desire so strong
so much was I blinded
I became delusional
invested my emotions
like they were an ocean
and now that I am torn down by reality
all I do is smile
but when I close my eyes
peeking at the past
my heart always sighs
Indeed
it was a magical phase of my life.

- Comment from author about the poem: Sometimes most beautiful moments of our present are the most painful memories of the future, like a wound that never heals. You just conceal it with a bandage and every time when you remove the bandage in hope that you are healed it's again there with the same hurt or maybe more. But may be the happiness that it associates once is worth the pain.
