Tune: Wiltshire
('Through all the changing scenes of life')
Psalm 23
********
The Lord is my Shepherd now here
I shall not want, not fear
He makes me to lie down secure
in green pastures for sure
He leads me beside still waters
On me His grace confers
He restores my soul, and lead me
In righteous paths I be
'Tis for His name's sake, he leads me
Always will with me be
E'en though I walk through death's dark vale
His mercies still prevail
No evil even here I fear
For He is with me dear
His rod and staff they comfort me
Wise Shepherd, good is He
He does a table me prepare
Of fine things, Iwell fare
Is in midst of my enemies
From foes He saves and frees
My head He does anoint with oil
Only sin can this spoil
My cup runs over, abundance
I have, His presence sense
Surely goodness and mercy shall
Follow me, I shall tell
Of them and of Him all my days
Dwell in His house always

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 8.6.8.6. Finding out some poems now and again, not yet posted. This one is from over 1,000 poems ago. Maybe 1,000 years too, as Goldfinch and I are very old! lol.

Thanks CB.
My friend Clive used to be a shepherd .. now he is a fishmonger in fact one of only seven master fishmongers in the UK .. or it might be just England .. apparently he's not been anywhere near a sheep since he was arrested .. Neville
Doh! lol. Just mind the cow-pats on your steps, or sheep-pats, if they are called that?
