ALL ABOUT JANE

nephilim56

Silent wings invade
A night of shadows
Upon desolate parchment
Poetry casts tears.

Silent with abandon
Three steps from the dying room
Grief drawing upon a cigarette
A heartbeat dreams of love.

In chambers of the soul
Starched linen grimmaces
Within harsh rules
A spirit wanders room to room.

In repetition now to plead
Sad eyes smoked in thought
In this the emptiest of moments
Knowing only loss.
