As the old bows it head for the new to begin
Goosebumps run up and down every inch of her skin
Any trust that remains is still painfully thin
The girl running riot in my head
It has taken a while for her smashed heart to heal
Even now she's not sure how to let herself feel
There's a queue forming hoping one day she'll reveal
Mysteries long contained in her head
Beauty cursed
Broken nursed
Pin to burst
Her shield
Face aflush
Secret crush
Stay hush hush
Or yield
Feeling maybe
Just maybe
I might have a chance
Of the love
That's been missing for years
Feeling maybe
Just maybe
I'll once again dance
on a floor
That's not littered
With tears

Oh my gosh, Stevie! What a sad one! Or is it rife with hope that you'll find love?
"I'll once again dance on a floor that's not littered with tears" Hopeful, yet, pulls on the heart strings. This is perfect. A favorite for me!
Always a wee bit of hope in there Christina
Thank you very much for your continued encouragement
It's priceless
Sad yet beautiful writing )) like your way with words π
Great to see you Violet
Thank you very much
And there's that drop of......hope. In the midst of discovering all the dark layers....of the one.....who makes our heart skip a beat....π«£

Great to see you
thank you
Do you think you could ask your king to put you down for 5 minutes
I know he won't find it easy
Maybe impossible
Just so I can stop missing your writing
