the confused, fool in the mirror

oh my mind, it wanders

i can’t help but, drift off

drifting off so slowly

can’t help but wonder

if you still know me

 

on the surface i keep my cool

but the damn mirror only reflects a fool

feet seated on the earth, soul lost upon the moon

the choices i made

fades into the haze

try to get away, but i’m trapped in a maze

 

I would travel back in time

just to catch all of the signs

to prevent the event, of our dreadful demise

I would sit you down, try and explain

that I never thought missing you, would cause all this pain

 

hopefully what I would say, could find it’s way through

we’d never forget eachothers names

I’d tell you how I feel, but I’m afraid it wouldn’t be the same for you
