Dress up

Miss_Dreamer

You're too old for dress up

They say as they scoff at my outfit

And so I change

Back into jeans and tshirts

Skirts and dresses and button-ups

Straightjackets disguised as fashion

Molding me, no, squeezing me into the person they want me to be

Unwilling to understand

That I've been playing dress up for years

In order to fit in

To the expectations of society
