Joshua Chapter 6 parts

To gain victory at Jericho

The people would it know

Encircling the city round

But silence did redound

 

Once round the city for six days

This was in the Lord's ways

Then seven times round, seventh day

They in their ranks did stay

 

Then at word, Joshua's command

And through the Lord's good hand

Then they did shout, and wall flat fell

Through the Lord they did well

 

Then onwards strong they did advance

Took up their battle stance

Saved only Rahab and her kin

Destroyed all else therein

 

For city was dedicated

To the Lord, He them led

To gain victory, and silver, gold

Brass, iron, they did not hold

 

For those were all consecrated

To the Lord, He their Head

They stored within the treasury

His worthy tribute free
