POET

nephilim56

Did you turn to see your poet
Beneath the streetlight in the rain
His tears run the gutters
Can you still not feel his pain.

For hes lived a thousand lifetimes
And his soul can take no more
His heart in a million pieces
A lonely figure on the shore.

The blowing gale stings his eyes
As he looks out to the sea
His head is in the clouds
Dreams of where hed like to be.

When you look out of your window
See the beggar on the street
Will you recall..remember all ?
Like the places where youd meet.
