I Thought About You

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

I thought about you and the bond we shared. How when I needed you, you were always there. I thought about the laughter you brought into my life. How much for me you once sacrificed. I thought about the love our friendship had. It was unconditional in good times and in bad. I thought about life and how much has changed. You’re up in heaven now; but parts of you remain. A beautiful reminder of the wisdom you left behind. I’m not ashamed to admit many tears I’ve cried. I thought about family and how tightly we hold on. There’s a void in our hearts when our loved ones are gone. Time does indeed heal our wounds. But it doesn’t stop my thoughts of you. I thought about you and I hope you could see; that even though you’re gone; you mean so much to me.

Beautiful. Losing loved ones sucks. The understatement of the year.
