I don't belong here

A.D. Small

I don't belong here

Sometimes the fundamentals of what we're truly expecting doesn't come out right
When you have to fall asleep and your tired of being alone so you turn on the night light
To creep alone in this world brings foreshadowing Doom
When you don't feel like you belong in the room
When you want to scream to break the glass that's around you
When you're on autopilot in life and you don't have a clue
When enough feels like enough and you don't know what to do
At times like this I would usually turn to You
But you're not here
You're not here to see every tear
When it seems like it's perfectly clear
And you're nowhere near
I want to scream at the silence when will it end
To walk along every single twist and bend
Feeling like I don't belong
Because you're not here to listen to this song
