Michelle

Michelle, Michelle

The apple of my eye.

No other one caught my eye like you

No other caused a look.

You took away my breath at once

My heart it skipped a beat.

You turned this man into a boy

A teenage boy I am.

Some say I am a puppy dog

I follow you at will.

You have me wound around your finger

You lead me with your smile.

I am a happy camper

Some say a happy old man.

No matter what they call me

I'm yours with all my heart.

What could I say but thank-you

For being in my life.

For bringing joy and happiness

A smile upon my face.

Michelle, Michelle, I love your name

Tis always on my lips.

You read me as the book I am

The pages you do turn.

I wonder what it would be like

If we had met before?

But you had your life, I had mine

Would not have worked before.

We found each other here in Yuma

It must have been our fate.

Two ships passing in the night

We must have hit head-on.

Now living side by side we are

We cannot miss the other.

Thank-you for being my other one

Thank-you Michelle, thank-you.
