Oh Palestine, Oh Israel

Niko Papadatos

  1. In a land of conflict deep and wide,
  2. Where Israel and Palestine collide,
  3. A story of violence yet untold,
  4. Where heavy hearts endure, hope takes hold.
  5. Amidst the chaos, children's tears flow,
  6. Innocence shattered, fears in tow,
  7. A plea for peace, a cry for grace,
  8. Explosions leave their lasting trace.
  9. The lively streets now stained and scarred,
  10. Homes and dreams torn apart, hopes marred,
  11. Brothers turned foes, faiths collide,
  12. In this land where harmony has died.
  13. Mothers anguish, fathers in despair,
  14. Their children's futures filled with care,
  15. Yet amidst the darkness, a flicker remains,
  16. A yearning for unity, to break these chains.
  17. Oh Israel and Palestine, can't you see?
  18. Love and compassion can set you free.
  19. Let bridges be built, hatred dissolve,
  20. Through unity, conflicts can resolve.
