The Greatest Love Album Ever Written

Teddy.15

I didn't think it was wrong of me
to have written an entire book
of incredibly sad love songs
whilst uncontrollably crying into my wine glass?

after all
a broken heart only needs
that one last sip
just enough to numb
the excruciating pain
that comes with feeling so lost
whilst giving company to my brokenness

eventually
awakening to an empty bottle
a huge hangover
and, on the floor
all the scrunched up typo’s

Nevertheless
leaving me with…

the greatest love album
ever written.

lol I believe most of us have, those who haven't don't know what they're missing. ❤️ I learnt so much in that very deeply troubling moment dear Nev, and I know you did too my darling friend. ❤️ Thank you.

Isn't this the truth!!!! Makes for the best love notes. Definitely painful though......AND all the wasted makeup....just saying. 💖💖💖💖💖

wonderful poem, teddy. I had that in high school, I can relate. But I've been married so long. Anyway, I digress, it's a great topic and i think many people can relate.

              • Teddy.15

Dear Christina8 thank you, so very kind of you. ❤️

Reading your poem and my computer plays "Love Hurts" by the Everly Brothers. OMG, a coincidence no doubt. A great poem. Music and wine can conquer even love's tribulations. Yeah, we've all been there, and we've all learned from it. Again, loved this one. - Phil A.

Your beautifully crafted second stanza is a stunner, bookended between confession, and resolution. Masterful write dear Teddy, and as always exquisite taste in pics.

                  • Teddy.15

As your review is also exquisite my dear Bella, so incredibly kind as always. Thank you, you chose my favourite part too. ❤️

                    an ugly pain Teddy

but a heart will always heal

                    eventually.

                    • Teddy.15

yeh, lol it did and I have to say I survived it with a massive amount of pride, but in that time it was the worst pain and the most beautiful heartache that brought me to today. Thank you my dear Melvin. Always humbled by your kindness ❤️

                      • aDarkerMind

A great stanza here. Identifiable for anyone that has suffered loss of any type. Loved it.
