Hear the children

Fudgeface

Hear the children,

Scream their pain,

Laughter has left them

For pleasanter shores

Giggles and pranks

Run around no more

Soaked up by the cursed ground

And thrown up to the skies

What remains are the cries

The anguish, the frustration, the disbelief

Of how life could descend to such depths of pain.

How could such young minds,

Fathom the hate

The disregard, the punishment

And carry on the fate.

The ancestors, from their heavenly abode

The present, the future being obliterated.

Hear the children, whoever can hear them

For when the silence follows, it will be deafening no more.

Wow. Very powerful, the duality is right up front. Great job.
