Judge and jury

hillary@25

Is it true or insane

while you're growing old,

in most people's book

you've remained the same

Is it uncanny or just basically strange

that those who have traveled the very same road

witnessed your highs and witnessed you low

Maybe once stepped up, helped you carry a load

Always only remembers your downward flow

Drenched in sewage

Soaked in sweat

Reaching the bottom

of a bottomless pit

Drowning, covered in, reeking of shit

Because of your choices

and the life you have led

So how about,

Well done!!!

For getting it right

For crawling your butt out a very tight spot

However dreadful, never giving up the fight

You've gnawed, gambled, conquered

The impossible plot

So now you've learned lessons

passed a few tests

And being judged on passed failures

Still...

Well take pride in yourself and screw the rest

You still have some dreams to fullfil

Like leaving behind a legacy

Please quit wasting time and precious energy

Let them judge you, be your jury

But you, yes you

Be your own executioner

Truly
