Sights of Saints

Tune: Sine Nomine

('For all the saints')

Hebrews 12 v.22-24

For All Saints Day (Hallowmas): Nov 1.

*********

For you are come, New Testament people

To mount Sion, God did you to it call

The city of the living God, see all

Alleluia, Alleluia!

It be the Jerusalem heavenly

And here angels multitudinously

The festive gathering of God's church free

Alleluia, Alleluia!

It be a gathered general assembly

Church of the firstborn, born from above, see

Names written in heaven eternally

Alleluia, Alleluia!

And you are come to God, He the Judge be

Of all, and He will judge e'er faithfully

Here the spirits of just ones company

Alleluia, Alleluia!

Also you are come unto Jesus, He

Mediator of new covenant be

Sprinkled by His blood, so saints too are we

Alleluia, Alleluia!

Beautiful verse for this special day! It took me three tries, reading aloud, to get "multitudinously" out without error, but I did it. Thanks Orchi!
