Balance

Dara Ó Rinn

Sweet water lily, a paddle so graceful. You know not of your balance, unconsciously stable. My heart is a daisy, covered in chains. No rest for the wicked, boldness remains. How I wish I could fly, grow all of the trees, fight for the people, know not of disease. My ignorance is a bliss, darkness and abyss. Light me a candle, can I handle? Pressing evils, doors of demise and windows of opportunity. Are my actions wise? Evil is seen, heard and spoken. The people have not yet awoken. A curse of words, my tears do weep. A glimmering dream of heavenly abundance. A scary nightmare, fearing of redundance. Why must I carry the burden of a million decisions?

How can I know? Where should I go? Why do I have inhibitions? What is life? Where's my wife? Hide the knife? Balance is key. But where is the handle?
