Cheers

Norman Flagtea

Here's to the people in pain,

here's to them who hope in vain.

Here's to them who are slowly going blind,

here's to the children left behind.

Here's to them who can't get back on their feet,

here's to the folks who live on the street.

Here's to the one with a broken bone,

here's to the one with a heart of stone.

Here's to the old,

here's to the immigrant in the Montana cold.

Here's to the paralyzed

or by their cell phones hypnotized.

Here's to the mute,

here's to the Tic-Toc cute.

Here's to the cheap booze drinker,

here's to the compulsive thinker.

Here's to John and Joe and Anne and Sue.

And here's to me and here's to you!
