Arguing with a Fool Proves There’s Two

aa.alpizar

You are a fool,
But what does that make me,
If I argue with you?
You know what they say...
About arguing with fools...

I can sabotage you.
I can destroy you.
I can take what you have.
What would I gain?
What would I lose?
What would I prove?

For each ill intention there’s been a price to pay.
For each act of revenge,
For each word of gossip,
For every time you’ve knocked someone down;
You will reap what you sow.

Would you risk losing everything?
The chance to improve?
The chance to be better?
The chance to move on?

Would you risk the chance to grow?
Over an argument?
Over something meaningless?
Will you be the fool?

And I must confess,
I’ve been a fool for too long…

But I know now;
And I understand now.
You are a fool;
What will I choose to be?
