Life

parker

Once you've flown
Felt the winds of life under your wings
When you've soared
And viewed it all from on high

But what have you won
Storm force winds and rain
Images of glory run through your head
Comparisons of past storms survived

But thought the heights have gone
Another day, one more yesterday
One less tomorrow
you have been there

Chased the clouds
Skirted the heavens and survived
But the sky is yours
For the trying keeps you whole.

Nice poem. Paints a pretty picture (as I once again check my parachute).
