Pillar of Strength

SHELLY

I feel like everybody wants something from me

Everybody has a problem that I need to set free

I am everybody's shoulder to cry on

But when I need somebody there's no one

I hurt so much inside but I have to be strong

Everybody looks up to me like I can do no wrong

They are so blind they can't see me

Only those who look, like really look, can see

What’s funny is no one asks how do you do

Their only focus is them and can't see that you're blue

Sometimes you try to reach out but it's a waste of time

Because they only care about what's on their mind

As soon as I start talking they cut me off

They're only concerned with them and not my cross

So I will continue to burn up inside

And be the pillar of strength for them on the outside
