Her leap into Darkness

chloesPoeticInk

Beneath the full moon’s silver light so bright,
She stood upon the edge, lost in the night.
Invisible burdens, pain, and sorrow’s weight,
Drove her to the edge, it was too late.

They rushed to save her, voices filled with fear,
But she was deaf to their cries, their loving tear.
In the stillness of the night, she found her flight,
And in the moon’s embrace, she took her height.

A leap into the void, a desperate flight,
Into the unknown, where darkness meets light.
They watched in silence, hearts heavy with grief,
As she left this world, seeking sweet relief.

In her final moment, a choice to be free,
Though we couldn’t understand, we all could see.
She sought escape from her pain and despair,
Into the arms of the moon, she took to the air.

Let us remember her not for the fall,
But the battles she fought, the pain and all.
In the moon’s gentle glow, her spirit now soars,
While we stand below, with our hearts torn and sore.
