I befriended with midnight, ‘once’.

Maevezz

“I befriended with midnight, ’once’.

All with no light, but moon and stars.

An observer, excellence—

Until it grew tired of me,—and vice versa.”

Let me no more linger with midnight so cruel,

Where it rules with no reprieve.

I long for your sight,

Your dim of light,

Beside the bed.

My fears will have no place.

Say good morning to me?”
