Five Minute Insanity

dtrusss

Is there a reason for everything?

Maybe, but it's not linked to understanding.

Well, that's not quite true.

Maybe that's enlightenment.

The tight line just ain't tight yet

Failure yielding mystery. Is failure sin?

Guess Jesus didn't fail then. Go to him?

"Dusty guy who lives in the sky, how do I wrestle with this mean guy"?

 My prayers feel schizophrenic.

The topic brought to my friends; they say I need a clinic.

The therapist finds me interesting, so I go out on the streets.

Forget to work, grow hungry. Brain gets a little grumpy,

feel I'll turn to humpty dumpty,

left by all, just looking for an answer. Maybe that's the meaning.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is a 5-minute blabber on the meaning of life. You could say it's an exercise in exploring the ridiculous stimuli of modernities absurdities. It means nothing, but nothing means everything. Through the blur you find clarity. Hopefully not looking through glasses, but maybe.

You’re looking for the answer but I’m not sure you have decided what the question really is yet!

I like the mishap approach and murky atmosphere. No clarity here; who needs it anyway!

    Misshapen thought-driven poem!

    Works for me!

You hit the nail on the head. It's the dread of looking for the question that doesn't appear, yet feels it needs attention. 'Tis a rambling thought indeed.

Calculation of reflection. This is wonderful. I too think about it all. Sometimes wouldn't it be easy to sit on a wall and just watch it all go by. 🤗
