Acceptance

The sunset lay beautifully in front of me,

I wiped the tears off of my face.

I finally see it for what it is,

After the divide.

I leave it all behind,

Leave my bags on the rock.

Watching as the sunset began to fade away,

The night began to cloud over me.

I took a deep breath,

And slipped into the water.

The waves carrying me deeper and deeper

Uncertain, but understood.
