Windows

Katdream

They say eyes are windows
revealing what is tacit
locked away within the gaze
of unspoken visions
and nightmarish feelings

Beware the baby blues
So caringly ornamented
So lovingly dressed
protecting the gazer
from the ambush of veracity

cautious the onlooker
knowing not what confrontations lay passive
beyond the steely gaze
antagonism lying in wait
hides in full view
