BLUE DRESS

nephilim56

Have you silenced your ghosts ?
Woman in a blue dress
Eyes swimming in sorrow
And self pity it seems.

Have you locked them in closets ?
Closed drawers upon language
Turned photographs to walls
Made another cup of tea.

Glancing from windows
Curtains at angles
Side corners twitching
To children at play.

Have you glared at your jealously ?
In mirrors which haunt you
Past years to tumble
Like stars from your eyes.
