Agnes

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

Agnes is so grateful for the son she has in Asher. She’s certain his load is heavy; she just doesn’t know how to ask him. Asher’s grown cold since Tracy walked away. He’s closed off most of his heart and built up numerous walls; it makes her own heart ache. Agnes more than understands the pain he’s been through; before Arthur came along she had a heartbreak or two. Trying to get into Asher’s world is a thing of yesterday. All he does now is push her further and further away. She’s decided to higher a caregiver to lessen his burdens. Maybe he can start healing where he’s been hurting. “Asher, can you please sit down; I have something to say.” “Sure mom; what is it?” “Are you okay?” “No son I’m not; for a long time now I’ve watched my son slip away;” “I know you’re hurting since dad’s accident and losing Tracy.” “That’s no reason to shut me out son.” “Don’t you know I love you and see you as my blessing?” “I’ve decided to hire some help for your dad and me.” “To lessen your burdens; to make it less heavy.” “No mom; you can’t;” “I can and I will;” “I’m starting today.” “Yours are big shoes to fill.” “Mom I can handle things just fine.” “Son I know you have; but you must heal your pain; it’s time.” Asher agrees he’s got a lot on his plate. He’s decided to take the day off work to be home when the supervisor does the in take. Will things improve with a little help? I guess from here; only time will tell!
