Ghost

Introverted Sage

Do you feel me now
Right there with you?
Within these walls?
Don’t look now but
Feel
Where I’m coming from.
Slow your beat and find
Mine.
Embracing
Like a weighted blanket
Or bear hug
Consuming you.
Heavy
On your back
As I conform to you.

Steady your breath
As you count the beats.
Mine or yours — can’t really tell anymore.
Your waves taking me deep.
Lulled to sleep.
When you begin to weep.
Timid and meek.
Mindful
Of the company you keep.
I’ve found what it is
You seek.
Just on the brink.
Let the mind’s eye think.
